U.S.-ASEAN Smart Cities Partnership
DOT will host a webinar series on transportation policy, planning, new mobility technologies, and procurement for all ASEAN members, including members of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN), national and sub-national authorities, and others interested stakeholders. DOT’s virtual webinars will highlight the interconnected role of policy, planning, technology, and private sector engagement that lead to successful smart cities. The webinars will address the common challenges of ASEAN cities and lessons learned from U.S. and ASEAN cities and metro areas. The dates and focus of the four webinars are as follows:
- 9 September 2020 – Transportation Policy as the Foundation for Smart Cities
- 30 September 2020 – Transportation Planning to Guide Smart Cities
- 21 October 2020 – Emerging Mobility Technology in Sustainable Transport. Participants do not have to be part of the five city pairings to participate in these webinars.
- 18 November 2020 – The Role of the Private Sector in Transportation Financing (with DOC/ITA)
The webinars will start at 9:30 a.m. Singapore time (GMT+8) and last approximately two-hours.
